KoRn is OK. Linkin Park, IMO was never Nu Metal, even their older stuff. Limp Bizkit is OK, what is really bad about them is their singer, they have some kickass instrumentals. Disturbed is OK, but I don't know how much I would consider them Nu Metal. Slipknot is Nu Metal? Anyways, I don't care for them. Static-X is OK. P.O.D. is pretty lame. Papa Roach is OK. The weird thing is they've had so many different sounds I don't know what to consider them anymore. They played in a show I was at last year and they didn't do very well. And you never mentioned the best Nu Metal band of all... Rage Against the Machine-- the only Nu Metal band that I would call good instead of OK. =)
not really...some of these bands have a few decent songs...Korn has a few good songs on a couple albums, but most of their stuff sucks. Limp Bizkit's first album was really good and then they took a massive nosedive. Disturbed's first album was listenable but now they just annoy the f*ck out of me. Slipknot is about the same as Korn, a few good songs but mostly crap. Linkin Park sucks hard, so does POD. Papa Roach has a handful of half-way decent songs, nothing special though. Static-X haven't listened to much, but didn't seem all that bad, not that good though either!!
I like the pioneers of Nu Metal, Limp Bizkit and KoЯn, as well as some Kid Rock. I don't have an issue with listening to other Nu Metal Bands, I am just not into them. I personally am more into Rap Metal and Alternative Metal.
I listen to all kinds But yeah Nu Metal is cool cuz it meshes many different styles, which most people look down upon and don't like Nu Metal Id say 80-90% I listen to are Alt. Metal bands (like my 2 favs Breaking Benjamin and Shinedown) and most fit into Nu Metal also
I despise the bands you've listed except maybe 2 songs by Slipknot, the closest thing to Nu-Metal I can tolerate is some Fear Factory and some Coal Chamber
