yes but some who have different opinions on what metal is would say no. some think oldies with no talent are metal and new stuff is hardcore crap. genre is just a matter of opinion not fact.
First album was Melodic Death Metal, everything after is Metalcore (Hardcore with Metal influences).
Some say metalcore, some say melodic death metal. Those who enjoy black and death metal will say that Sonic Syndicate isn't as metal as other bands, and neither do I, but I can safely say that they are a metal band.
