Question:

Micro-fiber sofa stains?

I just purchased a micro-fiber sofa, and the salesman claims it is stain resistant? I feel like I should protect it anyway with some kind of scotchguard. Does anyone have any experience with micro-fiber? Will scotchguard be a safe thing to do? Is it necessary?

Answer:

it particularly is particularly useful to objective soaking a cotton ball with 3% Hydrogen Peroxide and gently dabbing the blood stain. The peroxide will covert the stain to hydrogen and oxygem with a effervescent action. maximum, if no longer all the stain might desire to disappear.
I love my micro-fiber couch. And I have a cat and I spill things. When I purchased it I was told ONLY USE WATER on a damp towel and it will remove problems. I have spilled coffee, food and the cat has brought in dirty, all removed with a damp towel. BTW my couch is a light brown.
It's not necessary. I've got a microfiber sofa, and have had it for 1 year. If I get a stain on it I just remove it with a damp cloth. It comes off really easy. The salesman is right!
It all depends on the type of stain ... I have three microfiber sofas and I treated two of them with Scotchguard and one (the first one I bought) I did not. Most spills or stains come up from the sofas with a bit of resolve and a gentle rub but the sofa I did not scotchguard does have one grease stain on it that I could not get to come up. I would say better safe than sorry and invest in a can of Scotchguard ... just remember to let it dry completely before using the couch again.
