Question:

motherboard front panel connectors?

I recently bought a case with 2 usb ports and a firewire port on the front. i was wondering if all motherboards would have the connectors to hook them up or if there is something i should be looking for. Thanks

Answer:

all motherboards has front panel connectors, it is located in the lower right of your motherboard if you hold it in normal position, refer to the manual or diagram of your motherboard how to connect these wires leading to front panel.
Most cases now have front connectors, but your motherboard may not have that type of hook ups. All will have USB for your case jumpers, but our board may not have ANY firewire. If not, do NOT put any USB jumpers on your firewire, could fry your board. If you want to have firewire, get a new board.
All of the current motherboards should have built-in USB connectors. Most would likely not have likewise for firewire by default. It's best to check the specs in the motherboard manual or on the manufacturer's website.
