Question:

Motorcycle brakes defects

When I press down the rear brakes on my new motorcycle, itmakes very loud screech sound. Is that a factory defects?

Answer:

Take the bike back to the dealer. New brakes have to be broken in before the customer take possession of a new bike. Takes one minute of stop and go riding to remove any rust repellent that was sprayed all over the bike before shipping. The brake pads just need to be cleaned. You can do it yourself if you're mechanically inclined.
I would take it back to the dealer. A few years ago Harley changed the composition of their brake pads and all the new bikes had a loud squeel when braking. Harley would never admit anything was wrong of course. The problem was solved simply by beveling the leading edge of the pads.
