Question:

Motorcycle front brakes are not working?

I dropped it doing 20mph. It landed on the right side, lever bent and there is no pressure. I bled the brakes thinking air might have got in. Do you think problem is in master cylinder? There is a pressure after you pump the lever 3-4 times. When I push the brakes I can hear pads rubbing against rotor. I took it to shop, guy said 1000 bucks, I laughed and left. Any ideas?

Answer:

remove old pads compress pistons replace with new pads fit Why would you need to bleed the system??
I have honda vt shadow 125 53 Reg and I have same problem no pressure on the front brack what I did i bleed till All air come,s out it#x27;s talk bit time to pressure up but it#x27;s work!!!!
Nobody here can tell you exactly without looking at it. Could be a small leak in the system, could have damaged callipers, MC, bent rotors/pistons etc etc. Safest way to find out is to strip it all down and check everything out, if you are not comfortable doing it yourself find somebody who is. Front brakes are kind of important.
Find another dealer or repair shop. It sounds like you might have an air leak in the lines as a result of the crash. Might be the lines, but I would start at the Master Cylinder as that is where the crash damage occurred. You might end up with a new MC. they can be pricey, but not usually 1K.
