Question:

Motorcycle Tire size: is the size 150 /80 B16 the same as a MV 85 B16?

I‘m trying to order those new Elite III tires from Dunlop.for my Heritage Softail, but they don‘t have 150‘s they have a 160.Should I order the 160 or the MV 85 B16?The front tire I found is the same (MT 90 B16).so no question about that.

Answer:

I'd ask at a local stor for this, however I worked in a bike shop parts dept but not Harley! Every tire i used sold/stored we all went by the 150/80 mark its universal use this to get the exact tire size. i dont recommend using wider tires than as per harleys guide the rims are not designed for it and can cause problems when you take corners its the only thing between you and the road so try and get the right one. I'm sure you can find an equal tire for your bike perillis are pretty good too
The MV IS a 150/80this is the tire size you want.A 160 will be a little too wide a rub the belt. Stick with stock sizes and you won't have any fitment issues.
