What‘s the difference???? Motorcycles
Very rare for a true motorcycle to have a automatic transmission. Most(99% of all motorcycles) are sold with a manual transmission
ABS stands for Antilock Brake System. It is supposed to help the driver from locking up the their brakes when they hit them hard. If you ever locked them up on a motorcycle you know the feeling of your brakes locking and you trying to manage that.
They are not anti-skid, they are anti-lock (which amounts to the same thing). Basically they use cadence braking but it is automated, triggered via sensors when your wheel locks under braking. They do not claim to make stopping foolproof but they can be a rider aid. Although they are reasonably complex to manufacture and design the price will reduce since all new bikes (above 125) for sale in the EU from 2016 will have to be fitted with the system.
ABS are Anti-Skid brakes. They keep your brakes from locking up in a panic stop situation and provide safer and more effective braking. You can brake harder and stop quicker with ABS brakes. They are more expensive that standard brakes because of the electronic sensors and controls that are required to make them operate.
Very very few automatic transmission motorcycles. Honda made an automatic CB 750 years ago and it worked fairly well but didnt sell so good. Quite a few scooters are automatic. I've heard Can-Am makes an automatic but you cant really call those things motorcycles. Motorcycle riders love shifting gears, it's just part of the experience.
