I just got the bracket at midday, and it has fallen off in the next day, in the late afternoon. I didn't go to dentist afterwards because I was in adelaide for holidaying. My next appointment is in about 6 days. This is the second day of incident.Should I be largely corcern about this?
If the band that holds the bracket is still there then there is no cause to worry but you have to be careful and take care that you will not swallow it, but if the bracket had fallen off from the band better keep the bracket so your dentist will be able to cement it later.
no it happened to me before and i waited about a week. also if it is a tooth in hte back you should have even less concern.
its not really a major concern as long as the other brackets are still firmly in place and the wire is still being held in and isn't causing you any discomfort. I've had my braces for almost a year now and in the first few months accidentally broke several brackets off. As long as everything else is fine it shouldn't be a problem, your dentist/orthodontists will just re-attach a bracket at your next appointment
