Question:

My car alarm goes off all the time for no reason?

I have a 98 Honda Accord. I went to autozone and the battery isn‘t low on the remote. But just to be sure. I left it inside the car so it wouldn‘t go off. But the alarm still goes off all the time. Sometimes it turns off on its own and sometimes I have to go outside and start my car. Please help!

Answer:

I had a similar problem with a Rover, it turns out it was just a motion sensor inside that was either malfunctioning or I guess it could detect a spider going over it or something so it went off all the time. Didn't happen again after I removed it.
It sounds like you have an overly sensitive car alarm. If you take it to your local garage, they should be able to fix it for you without too much trouble. However, before you do this and spend your money, make sure that your car is not home to a spider, or other small creature. I say this as a few months ago, my car alarm kept blowing, and it turned out I had a spider in the sensor, which was setting the alarm off every time it moved. Also, please note that if you can't stop your car alarm, and it keeps blowing in the night and disturbing people at anti social hours, it can be reported as a public nuisance.
I echo what's already been said, and you may also wish to check that all of your doors and windows, including the bonnet and boot, are securely closed.
