Question:

My car alarm keeps going off in the morning after its frozen over?

I have my lovely car which is fittt and sexy. I love my car :]However, in the morning when I‘m on my way to college or to work if it‘s frozen over from the night before and I try to open it up the car alarm goes off. I lock it and try it again and it will just keep going off. I‘ve got no idea how to stop it either, just abit of potluck I guess. It‘s happened about 3 times in the past 2 or 3 weeks. How can I stop this happening/why is it happening? I don‘t want to be the most hated person where I live!!

Answer:

by frozen over do u mean that ice and snow was on it? if so your alarm is picking up the diffrence when that snow/ice falls off and that is what is triggering it.
You could try getting a new car.
Is it an original equipment alarm system, or an aftermarket system? My best guess is that it is an aftermarket system, and that it was wired with wire that isn't meant to be used for an alarm system. If it is an original equipment (came with the car from the factory) system, take it to the dealer. If it is an aftermarket alarm system, you need to take the car to a REPUTABLE alarm system shop (get referrals from people who have actually used them) and have them look over the system. It sounds like you have a short in the system.
