Question:

My car alarm on My 2000 Mustang?

I just bought a car like three weeks ago, from a dealership. It is a 2000 mustang The car theft light flashes like every 2 seconds. I dont think my alarm is activated. But when I lock the door with the remote the first time it locks the door, then if I hit it a second time it beeps, but if I try to pull on the handle the alarm doesn‘t go off. Is is activated or what?

Answer:

have someone sit inside the car as you lock it from the outside with your remote until it honks. next, have the person inside the car pull up the lock and open the door. the alarm should go off.
you're able to have somebody disconnect the alarm. Ford's alarm could be close via the distant besides as cycling the biggest to the on place so that's not a Ford production unit difficulty of a alarm making noise. if no sound however the theft mild is flashing on the cluster once you cycle the ignition , exchange keys and attempt returned in case you have 2 keys via fact the mild will pass off if a programmed secret's cycled interior the ignition. If the theft mild nevertheless flashes after this, you prefer it towed to a broker
It is activated, just because someone plays with the door handle doesn't mean the alarm will go off. Most factory alarm systems are passive systems, meaning the door actually would have to be open before the alarm goes off.
