Question:

my child had nasolacrimal duct tubing and it fell out, what do I do?

My child is 4 years old. She had a small plastic tube inserted to open up her tear ducts. The tube fell out that same night as the procedure. What can I do? Will she need another surgery?

Answer:

I think this is a question for the specialist. Call them immediately. I would rather than asking strangers- grab the phone book, call after hour number and get the proper answer there. I hope that she is okay. I hope that she will not need more surgery. I speculate that since it was unsuccessful that she will require it.Though, I am no doctor. I don't mean to be cross, I just hope you call them, regardless of what time it is. There is always an after hours on-call doctor to help! Good luck to you and your daughter!
let the surgeon know as soon as possible!
get her to the hospital..or take her to another pediatrician.. more than one.. get as much info as you can.. research.. get her to a doctor though would likely be alot more useful than asking on here.. hope she is ok..
