Question:

Could a father help his son pull the fire alarm in a fire?

My friend and his dad discovered a fire and they were outside. My friend asked his dad if he could be the one to pull the alarm and the dad said yes. How was it the father went with my friend when he pulled the alarm? Was it normal for the father to tell my friend what to do and that the handle will lock down so you know the alarm will work? My friend is smart so I was wondering if the father was there to comfort him? The father even read the directions with him and explained how you have to push the handle in and pull the handle down. They are both adults my friend is 19 so is it normal for two adults to be there to give advice or directions to make sure the alarm is working? Was the father also there to make sure they wouldn't be separated. What do you think other people who were outside away from the fire watching them pull the alarm thought when they saw two people helping each other? Was it normal for my friend to have a doubt about how the handle worked and he did it two times

Answer:

I think what you need is a lockable box to keep your money and other valuable items in, like an army footlocker with a hasp and padlock. Sort of a poor man's safe.
Geez. What a creep! I think you should talk to the police and tell them exactly what happened to you and get their advice on how to handle this. They'll be able to tell you what to do from there. The sooner you go the better so they'll be able to see the bruises he left. Remember you didn't do anything wrong and I'm sure this isn't the first time he's acted roughly towards women. Good luck and I hope you get your job back.
You cannot lock a room without a lock But you can make it secure in such a way that Only you can open it Suggestion get a Norfolk latch {hardware store} Only put the latch part on the inside You then need a powerful magnet So that you can lift the latch from the outside Will work if the door is not too thick but much better to have a lockable strong box bolted down to the floor to keep things safe
