for a few months now my keyboard will not turn on when i turn my conputer on. (its a desktop). I have bought 2 keyboards, but the keyboard is not the problem. I have to shut my computer down and restart for the keyboard to come on. sometimes that doesn't work. do you know what is causing this. also, i tried a new computer that someone rebuilt for me, it does the same thing
ohk it may not be the keyboard itself but the connection in the cable coming from the keyboard, it could be a faulty wire which sometimes works depending on how the cord is placed, but it also could be the connection in the back of the computer, you could simply have bad port connections. If neither of those work check to see if your Hardware drivers are up-to-date for those keyboards, because there may be an update that you haven't used. and are the keyboards the same make and model or two different ones? If you have Windows, try this. It might help you to identify exactly where the problem is, although it won't cure it. Click Start button (bottom left of your screen) Click Windows Help and Support Click Troubleshooting Tools Click Hardware Diagnostic Tools Click Other Devices Select which item you want to check.
