Question:

My Kirkland plastic food wrap is coated with an oily film?

Has anyone had this problem? The plastic wrap has an even coating of oil throughout the entire rollThe oil has a greasy feel and smellsI'm throwing out the 2 boxes I have, but was wondering if anyone else experienced thisWhat do you think it is?

Answer:

they use cranes and if you look very closly you'll see at the corners where they stack its got a wedge in there so they dont slide
it is a special crane called a piggy packer, a large rubber tire crane, and yes it does tilt backwards.it has rotating locks on the corners that the operator controls
Either an overhead gantry that runs on a track system and uses cables or a large wheeled machine that uses hudraulics to move them aroundThey are locked in place with oblong shaped devices that go into matching holes in the containers and then are turned slightly to lock things togetherQuite an efficient way of moving freight.
the cranes usually roll over top the containers to pick them upThen can be shifted sideways over the railroad car and loweredUsually by cable or chains, they hang straight down, from corner lifting, so no tiltingIt's not a huge forklift- The Gremlin Guy -
I don't use plastic wrapI've read that the chemicals in the wrap can get into food(This was long before the baby bottle scare.) Also, it's essentially buying trash- Use it once, maybe twice, and throw it out, (I don't even buy plastic sandwich bags- It's the same thing, buying trash.) it cannot even be recycledI do use aluminum foil, though, but not oftenI generally use it when I can use it a few times and then recycle itOverall, I stick with reusable containers, preferably glass(I even save glass jars for this purpose.) Just my opinion.
