Question:

My lime curd has an egg smell?

I made lime curd last night. I used 3 eggs, 1 cup sugar, zest of 2 limes, 4tbsp unsalted butter, and approximately 1/4th cup lime juice. First I combined the eggs and the sugar, then I cooked it on a double boiler for about 20 minutes, stirring in the butter 1 tbsp at a time and then finally the juice and the zest. I chilled it in the refrigerator overnight and while the texture and the taste is good, it has an egg smell which is really putting-off. Can I fix it somehow? I really don't want to see all of it to go waste.
