Question:

How to remove a car alarm?

My mother in law just bought a new car and said I can take her Viper alarm off of her old car before she sells it.. I need an alarm for my truck so I want to but I'm not 100% sure exaclty how to do it.. Do i just trace the wires and just re-connect the engine shut off wire? Any help is appreciated. I have about a week before she sells it.

Answer:

Stick the curvy part in the hole that is away from the keyhole. Stick the straight part into the hole near the keyhole. Turn the key and lock it. Remove the key from the hole. You need to use the key to lock it - you can't just shove the U-lock part into the holes.
check your thermal and see if there is a timer on it..or a max temp and min tempyou probably will have to set the min/max
WowIts a 1/2 pipe and am I the only one that thinks of a compression fitting? If you go to HD pick up a compression shutoff. You will need exactly 2 wrenches to put this on. A compression fitting works by way of the piece compressing a copper ring to seal it. It is VERY simple to put one on - It has a nut on it as well as the copper ring - 1) Simply put the nut on the pipe first (it just slides on to it) 2) Slide the compression ring on the pipe 3) Slide the shutoff on the pipe 4) Hand tighten the nut onto the shutoff (it will still slide up and down until its tightened) 5) Take one wrench and clamp it onto the body of the shutoff and take the other wrench and begin tightening the nut. You will know when its good when the piece (shutoff) doesn't move. This requires virtually -0- experience and I am certain that you can do this. Btw - after the unit is tightened down make sure to shut the water off at the new shutoff that you just installed B4 turning the water back on.dumb, I know but I gotta say it.
