Answer:

If the Hawks could have traded the rights to sign him in 48 hours, then I am slightly disappointed. If they had to sign him first before trading him, then I understand why they did not. There is no guarantee some team is going to take Niemi from the Hawks and they can't be stuck with the cap hit. However a second or third round pick for Niemi would have been nice. Overall I am not pissed at anyone. Niemi is 27 years old and needs to maximize his money now. Just because of his age this is his best move financially. When he hits 30, who knows how much his skill will drop off and what he can get. Also, we have seen many goalies have a hot rookie year and then disappear into the wilds the year after. So with Niemi, I understand the need to get as much as he can.
Mirrors use some type of reflective material (metal?) behind a glass coating. So while monitors have one relative component (the see-through screen, often plastic or glass) they don't have a reflective material. Like the first answer said, a monitor is composed of many small pixels that can represent a few colors, red green and blue typically, and by using different combinations and intensities they make different colors. They cannot be used as a mirror though.
Step 1: Stop being ignorant. Everybody know they dismiss small tickets like 5 miles over etc. Step 2: Go to court on the scheduled date and plead your case.
