Question:

How do you stop you smoke detector from chirp ping every few minutes?

My smoke detector has been beeping since Friday. I changed the battery and that didn't help. Any ideas anyone? HELP! The chirp ping is driving me nuts

Answer:

The function of the catalyst in 2-part clear polyester casting resins is to make the polymerization reaction happen when it's mixed with the other partwhich causes the resin to cure the catalyst is also called the activator or the hardener. (Two-part resins do cure though to become hard they don't technically dry and there's no water in them.) Polyester resins can yellow a bit if the room they're created in is over 75 degrees F since that will accelerate the curing which may also cause cracking. Here are some other things from my website: all(?) resins are eventually susceptible to yellowing from UV light (direct sun fluorescents), but polyester resins are better than epoxy resins, or don't yellow at all? .cast polyester resins become rubbery if ever subjected to temperatures over 200?F Don't know if that helps, but maybe a bit. If you have a legitimate reason for a law suit they can't fire you for suing them, it is illegal.
