My smoke detector went off for some reason, I tried to shut it off by removing the battery, but that did not work and it stopped after a min or so. Now, it is making beeps (all 5 smoke detectors) every min or so. How do I make that stop?

I think the hydrant family should sue the crap out of the douchebag .Poor little fire plug ,just standing there doing his duty ,waiting for the call to save someone and BAM some moron plows him over ,damn.
As long as the pipe is straight and the fitting is seated properly, compression fittings don't leak. Only time I've had a problem was when I had over-tightened a fitting.
