Question:

My smoke detectors keep going off in the middle of the night?

It started three nights ago. In the middle of the night they'll just go off for no reason. it'll last for a second and a half and stop. Just to be clear this isn't the obnoxious chirp from a low battery. This is a full on whole-house-go-crazy-we're-on-fire-alarm. There ins't any fire (obviously). What is causing my smoke detectors to malfunction this way?

Answer:

battery getting bad ,replace battery should be fine

That is really strange. Sounds like you're a really heavy sleeper. My sister has that problem somewhat. I go to wake her up and she starts sleep talking. What I have to do is shake her and then she'll usually stop sleep talking and wake up. That is honestly a pretty dangerous problem because if your fire alarm goes off you probably won't wake up. I don't think there's anything you can actually do about that but here are some things you can try: Tell your mom to be more aggressive when trying to wake you up. Go to bed really early. Put your phone alarm on your night stand right up against your ear, put the volume all the way up. Or you could put it in your pillow. If there's anyone that can wake you up in the morning, tell them to wake you up and make sure you get up. There are some alarm clocks out there that come with a vibrating disc to make sure you get up. Best of luck!
