My windshield wiper fluid wont shoot on my 1999 pontiac grandprix 3800 what should i do.?

Answer:

Things to check. 1. Open the hood, make sure you hear the windshield washer pump working when someone pulls the washer fluid lever. If not, it's possible that the pump may have burnt out and needs to be replaced. 2. Remove the nozzles to see if they are clogged up with dirt. You can unplug the hose to the nozzle and see if any fluid squirts out when you pull back on the washer fluid lever. 3. Make sure you have windshield washer fluid in the reservoir.and it's not frozen solid.
WellI once had a mouse that fell into the reservoir, died, and rotted there for a week or so. It unfortunately gummed up the whole thing, so after I got the mouse, or what was left of the poor fella, out of there, I used a bug cleaning windshield fluid that I ran down the nozzles and tried to force the guck out while the windshield was wet (as to not scratch the windshield). It worked but I don't think your problem is related to this. Sounds like a failure somewhere. Go to an Autozone, Murray's or any other auto parts place and ask what could be wrong. They're usually helpful.
I would replace the lines going o the nozzles. Some dirt may be built up there and you will find they will work better than before when they were working. It is a cheap price of $20 to replace them
