Question:

my windshield wipers act weird?

ok so I have a 97 chevy c1500 4.3 and the wipers work on all the settings but after being on the setting for a while it just stops in the middle of the windshield after that happens none of the other settings work other than highspeed. im pretty sure its in the switch how do I fix that?

Answer:

There may be a bad control module on the wiper motor. If you lose the intermittent and other low speeds once in a while I'd start there.NOT with the switch unless the switch feels weird when moving it. The module is more susceptible to temperature and may get an open circuit when under load.
change the wiper switch ! in order to change the switch you have to pull the steering wheel ! but before doing that disarm the air bag ! you will need a steering wheel puller for a job like that !
You've already got plenty of amendments. Just plant whatever you are going to plant and get on with your life. You'll be fine. Fertilize occasionally.
Don't go changing the switch just yet you need to test to see if the power to the wiper motor drops off when the wipers stop. If you want to buy something make it a test light. Remember that there will be a constant power supply to the wiper motor terminal and when you turn on the wipers there will be another power supply for low and medium, that is the ones to test. The other is to power the wipers to the park position when you turn them off. Most settings are part of the motor assy and that is why you need to test to see if the power drops or it is internal in the motor assy.
if you want to areate the soil, add perlite.
