need help real quick got a problem with front door lock?

last night i went out and locked my keys in my apt,so i had to have a friend of mine try and pick the lock well he couldn't so i had him kick the door in which he did only on the part where the door knob was not the whole door, anyway i got in the top lock did work last night which is the dead bolt that wasn't lock when he kicked the door in, now this morning it doesn't want to lock at all.what should i do mickey mouse with it or get myself a whole new lock and have someone install it.

Putting a smoke detector in your garage is a good idea. The only problem is hearing it when it goes off. It should be tied in with your other smoke detector alarm(s) so you can hear it inside the house.
The garage is just like any room in the house. I don't know why people would say you may not be able to hear it. Especially if the garage is an adjoining room in the house. It's like saying you won't hear a smoke alarm in the kitchen if your in the bedroom. A room is a room , put it in if you want.
I would just to get out of New York. Besides, it'll only be several months in Miami until Loria trades me to a contender at the deadline.
