Question:

Need to bunk beds without drilling holes?

I know a question similar was asked before but I need a somewhat specific answer of what I need to do/what products to buy. I live in a dorm and unfortunately we have beds without holes, therefore no screws to bunk the bed. Is there a safe way to do this without damaging the beds? Thank you so much, 10 POINTS!

Answer:

get some plastic tube slightly larger than the bed legs. Place four pieces over bottom bed legs long enough to leave a tube to put the top bed legs into (be careful if turned or reduced legs) you may have to experiment. the sideways force should not be that strong so drain pipe Comes round and square should be ok. Use common sense and test thoroughly before letting others sleep in it
If you need bunk beds it is best to buy bunk beds. There is far more to consider than simply keeping one bed over the other. The way the top mattress and box spring are supported is also important. If the slats slip out from under your box spring when you are in a normal bed it is a nuisance. If they sip out from under the top bunk with someone sleeping beneath, it can be deadly. Also, the way to get to the top bunk must be considered as well as some way to prevent the top bunk sleeper from rolling out of bed or waking up and forgetting he or she is in the upper bunk and falling. Another consideration is that standard twin bed frames are not designed to hold the weight of two beds nor strong enough to resist the added leverage against the joints when the beds rack back and forth. *
no, not without the beds passably coming apart.
