Question:

nj real estate licence reciprocity?

I have a NJ RE sales licence...the licence is active, i dont work activelly...but just wondering about reciprocity with other states, like PA n NY??? What do I need to get licenced in these states?? too busy to call NJ Real Estate Commission and stay on hold for an hour!!:) Thanks

Answer:

normally Nope as real estate laws differ state to state. u can take their license board.
No they don't. Any broker at a NJ real estate office could have answered this question and not put you on hold for 10 minutes
Normally you would be required to have a real estate license in any state you would want to list and sell real estate on behalf of others. Normally other states do not recognize license from other states. You would have to successfully take and pass the state real estate license exam and become license by that state. Most of the information you are seeking would be found on the Department of Real Estate published by New Jersey. I hope this has been of some benefit to you, good luck. FIGHT ON
