Question:

Noise from engine bay on start up?

2002 Nissan Sentra SE-R Spec v, 83k on engin 130k on car.The repair manual says that it could be the crank and rod bearings. but that doesnt fit in my mind with the sound.on start up, about 50-60% of the time a loud almost rattle , it follows the pitch and tone of the engine but after start up only low gears barely and rarely will i hear the faint sound of it imo i think its a loose heat sheild or something, im going to get my oil change here soon too so idk but i havent really investigated to much , just want some opinions first. thanks in advance

Answer:

Have it put on a car lift and check the complete exhaust system front to back.
Clorox - chlorine vapor will cause copper to turn green. Possible if you use Clorox in your washing machine with hot water the vapor will turn copper green if its close to your sink
