Question:

OD of a 1/2 3/8 or 3/4 copper pipe?

I‘m going to try amp; replace my water softener. I‘d like to try amp; figure out what size pipe is coming out of the wall going into the unit before I shut off the water, take it apart amp; then have to make a trip(s) back to the store. I think it has a 1/2 copper pipe going into the unit BUT that seems kind of small for a house. Is there a way to measure the OD to help me figure this out? Thanks John

Before you do any kind of driving, fix that atrocious grammar. *Breaking *Hi *I * Etc *Break *Lose *License *You *Anyone (1 is a number) At least you capitalized Ohio.
look, there is absolute self assurance that motorcycles are risky. So is existence inspite of the truth that. From the on the spot we are born we commence to die. enable the boy get his bike.it is going to teach him duty and with any success good defensive using conduct. i have been using for 32 years now. to this point, i have not lengthy previous down.
I would suggest you not to do it. Your license can be revoked and you may also be subject to jail time. How much ever confident you might be on your driving to avoid a cop pull you over, imagine this. Some one bumps into you (their fault) at a stop light. then the cop is in picture and although not your mistake, you are still at RISK. So avoid it. Also atleast wear a helmet while riding.
Copper pipe is measured by the inside diameter and is a straight piece. Copper tubing is measured on the outside diameter and is usually a soft (annealed) material that can be bent or formed around corners. The 2 types are not the same and they use different fittings. Take a picture of the material and measure the outside of the copper. An experienced pipe fitter can tell by looking at the material.
1/2 solid copper will be 5/8 outside 3/4 solid copper will be 7/8 outside its unlikely you have 3/8 pipe feeding anything other than the dishwasher from under the kitchen sink
