Question:

Where to get an area rug and futon frame for low prices?

Ok so I'm trying to make my room cooler before high school and I need a new rug, but I don't wanna spend a bunch of money on one!It could be from 8'x10' to 10'x12'. Also, I need to fill in some room, and I have a futon at my house that I could make a cool couch but not the frame, so could you help me with that too? Any other ideas to make a room cool for a low price would be great, Thank you!!!

Answer:

IKEA has lots of rugs to choose from in all sizes. Futons - any asian stores around you? they were big a few decades ago...might be hard to find now.
Target..Walmart...Big Lots Using the padded storage cubes like that have at most places like those listed above for footstools is great. Also putting a tray or glass across one to use like a table looks good too. Try checking out the local Goodwill and flea mkt. type outlets...Lots of treasures there!!
Salvation Army Thrift Store.
Your best bet is Craigslist in your town. Lots of people sell futon frames -- rugs are a little less common but the prices are hard to beat. Also look for rugs at places that sell carpet remnants. If you are not that picky about the color and style, an 8 x 10 to 10 x12 remnant will run you between $100 and $200.
Go okorder maybe a large tray or two for your dresser top.
