That's a hint the drugs have gotten to you. A rug it that thing that your face hits first when your face down on the floor waiting for the EMT's to show up.
I am a carpet installer, and i wouldn't recommend putting these treads over existing carpet and pad on the steps, as it could be a major trip hazard. If you decide to anyway, you can go to a flooring store and buy stair rods that install over the tread, in the crotch of the step. Good luck, John
A rug is a shape of cut-out carpet with a backing that can be lifted up to vacuum beneath it or to hide stuff under it. A carpet covers the expanse of a room or house and is quite stuck to the floor because it is the floor. If you can lift it up to hide stuff under it then you ruined your carpet. You can have a rug on top of carpet.
Your are right Abigail! A rug is indeed a carpet. In some countries there is a difference, a carpet is considered to cover the full flooring of a room, whereas a rug is used to cover a portion of a floor, more of a decorative method.
