There is most likely power coming into the detector from inside the cieling, and it either malfuntioned or you need to put new batteries.

erm yes good writing but that's what i thought at the beginning because we know what heyman is capable of. it can be creative in a way but i'm sure there are others preferably wrestling fans who are storyline minded will think of this idea as well.
