Question:

One of my brackets is open on my braces?

I had my wire changed yesterday, but the dentist didnt close one of the brackets, i cant go back to the dentist until tuesday, will anything happen to that tooth?

Answer:

Rub some wax on it, it'll take about 3 weeks for the tooth to shift a little bit. Don't worry, you'll be fine.
sometimes on my braces if they dont close it, i either just leave it till i get back to the dentist, or i just push it in! but dont do anything u think will like hurt ur braces! i dont think any thing will happen to the tooth, but to stay on the safe side, i would stick to softer foods! not like steak or anything!
Is it that the wire isn't inside the bracket properly?? - because depending on the thickness of the new wire, it might actually be locked around the wire, but it just looks odd. Nothing will happen though to the tooth. Remember the brackets are glued/cemented on to the tooth, and if you have any problem with the braces/brackets you should contact your orthodontist and let them know. I once had a bracket come off because I bit into something too hard. The orthodontist couldn't take me in until three days later, and then they fixed it as normal. No problems. Don't stress out, when you break a bracket/brackets loose/bracket problems happen, it's important to get it fixed, but not because it's dangerous for your teeth - it's just that it wont work properly until you get it fixed!
It should be just fine, but be careful not to snag your cheek or tongue on the wire. The Denture Pro.
Don't worry , I've had braces , and I've been in the same situation . I'm pretty sure that nothing will happen to that tooth .
