Question:

Who should I contact to get speed bumps put on our road?

Our road is about 1/3 of a mile long, and is a straight road. The speed limit on this road is 25 m.p.h., yet some seem to think it's a drag strip and will do 55-60 m.p.h. on it. Several people, including myself and my spouse, like to walk on this road (for exercise, walking the dog, etc.), and the police are rarely around when people are driving so fast here, so I think it's time more drastic measures (a couple of speed bumps being put on the road) are implemented.IF YOU DON'T KNOW WHO TO CONTACT, PLEASE DO NOT BOTHER ANSWERING. THANKS.

Answer:

I just wanted to answer your additional question by saying that I consider a clear, well trained and experienced mind my 1 bit of safety equipment.
Full face helmet, one of three textile riding jackets, riding boots, gloves, and one of two textile riding pants. I learned the hard way jeans offer no protection from road rash.
I wear full face helmet, gloves, leather trousers, leather jacket and proper bike boots. I wear the lot whether I'm going for a 5 mile ride or a 350 one. I value my life and my skin too much not to wear protective gear. If other people wanna ride round in less protection that's up to them but you won't catch me doing it.
Go to Hot Topic. All they sell now is scene crap, I mean clothes. But really, how hard is it to find skinny jeans and band shirts?
Understand risk compensation. Those who ride wearing safety equipment have greater injuries than those who do not wear safety equipment. Safety equipment makes riding more FUN. I do not ride for fun.
