Question:

Overpriced Tires Plus, Charged $318 w/ coupon for new ceramic brake pad, brake system flush & 24 mth warrant

I think i was overcharged. In their service booklet, they had a plus brake service that includeded brake system flush for aroud $250. Service advisor charged me for the brake flush. I had a 01 Honda accord V6. Was I overcharged? Yet the front wheels were still squeaking.

Answer:

It works off a presure sensor in your rim, i have it in my Dodge Caliber 2009 if you change the rubber it wont affect anything but if you have to change the valve stem you might need to order a special one as its directly behind the valve stem
No, a tire is a tire in this case. The system works by counting tire rotations. The ABS sensor is used to count rotations of your wheel against a set standard. If that standard changes and the count increases then the tire is a bit low on air causing more rotations per mile. Basically, this is how the system works.
That's Quadruple what it should have cost for the work involved. IF they don't EXPLAIN how 2 break in NEW pads then they should NOT b doing the work. A $3.00 container of brake fluid U make $250.00 I need 2 change professions as a professional brake bleeder !! CHEAP pads don't usally squeek anyway{clean master cylinder}{bleed brakes} refill $318.00 Darn ! i should b a pro brake bleeder !!
You got ganked. You can buy those pads at autozone for around $50 with a lifetime warranty. They are simple to install. The brake flush should only cost 50-85 at a repair shop.
At my company (MIdas) we would have charged $39 for a brake flush, ceramic pads would have been approx $160 installed and would have carried a lifetime warranty on the pads and 1 year on labor. $160 +$39 +tax plus we have a coupon online for $10 off any service over $50.
