Question:

Pet Rat might be dying, help please.?

We got a baby rat from a pet store not too long agoWe took her to the vet and she had a Upper Respiratory Infection, so the vet gave us 2 medsSince then she has started to breathe a lot better, no more wheezing or stuffy nose but she is very, very weakShe has trouble crawling and even cleaning herselfOften she will just stand still where ever we put her and will try to snuggle if we hold her, but thats itShes still alert, she is eating fine and loves her medicine, side note, her belly feels kind of bloaty.Any ideas, or suggestions on what this is or how we can help her?PS: to anyone who says take it back.May the fleas of a thousand camels infest your genitals, and your arms too short to scratchJust because it is not a dog or cat does not mean we shouldn't treat it with the same love, care, and worry.

Answer:

If you see any abnormal behavior then consult your vetBut, in most cases, they are fineMy dogs, over the years, have gotten ahold of plenty of tinfoil from the trashI often don't even know it until I see it in their poop.
Our dog ate part of our couch months ago and hasn't shown any sign of not being okay If it was shredded up enough, he will poop it out over a couple days.
RE: My dog ate aluminum foil!? He is a small shih tzu toy dog and he ate a lot of it! He is acting normal but I know that he cant be ok.Any suggestions? Im worried
I would be very concerned about the tin foilJust as a piece of tin foil can give a human what amounts to a nasty paper cut, it could slice up your dog's insidesDid you see any of the foil in the vomit? If not, and you think it may have passed into his intestines, I would say RUN, don't walk, to the nearest emergency vet center.
