Question:

Pioneer Speakers?

I have bought two 6x9 Pioneer 460 Watt 5 Way Speakers. What is the difference in the amount of way a speaker is? I noticed 5 Way was the most and thats why I bought them. Are these automatically the best speakers with the best and loudest sound?

Answer:

boss is the best sound quality
you paid extra for 2 extra tweeters. which is dumb. most people cant even tell the differnce. what was really dumb was you just thought you were getting the best 6x9 pioneer has. had you done your research you would have found that pioneer has a Premier line that is way better then just normal pioneer. the crazy thing is they cost about the same. if i were you i'd take them back, get cash for em, and get a 3-way pioneer premier 6x9. good luck
Well the ways are just different components of the speaker: Tweeter, sub, Mid, and so on. the different ways are just different parts of the speaker and just because you 5 ways does not always mean the best sound there are other variables like your head unit and amplifiers. So 5 ways is not always better.
Way refers to how the speaker is set up. If it is a 3Way, it means that each speaker actually has three separate speakers. One for bass, one for mid-range and one tweeter which (each handles a different frequency range). If you want the best sound quality, go with separate speakers of each type coupled with a good amplifier and head unit. You could have 600 watt speakers but unless you supply enough power from an amp to properly drive them, they won't sound very good .Since you have already bought these, you could use them with a good head unit (radio/CD player) and amplifier.
Not the best. Each way is an addition of a another speaker. Most people want definition and will place seperate speakers/tweeters about the front of the cabin. The speakers you chose are ideal for space limitations, that's all.
