Question:

plastic on the windows wont stay?

what do i do to make the plastic thats supposed to keep the chill out on the windows stay on. it keeps falling down? i followed the directions. now what?

Answer:

It doesn't go on the windows. It goes on the window trim or on the wall. Any dirt or grit will cause it to fall down, and you have to really press to make sure it is on well.
the 2-sided tape isn't adhering very well. Make sure the wood you attach it to is washed and dry, and apply fresh tape.
How is the plastic attached? What is it attached to? Are trouble shooting ideas available? I've had problems with the window flashing's sweating, causing the tape and/or adhesive to fail. Try attaching the plastic to wooden strips and inserting the framed plastic in the window area. Another option is a staple gun, however, that can create problems of a different nature. Try contacting your local hardware store for ideas, suggestions and possibly solutions offered by other customers.
All depends what you used to attach it and what the surface u are attaching it to is made of. First make sure the trim isn't bowed then use either a builders adhesive ( if necessary tape it to window with masking tape until it goes off ) or a thick gel-type superglue and stick this to the frame where it should overlap.by a few millimetres, The trim is not what keeps the draughts out as the gap around the frame sholud be filled with foam or silicone. The trim merely hides the gap and provides a neat finish
