Question:

Plastic or Glass terrarium?

I'm getting a baby snake soon, and i was wondering what kind of terrarium i should use. Plastic or glass. I heard it's easier to control the heat in a plastic cage, but i'm just wondering...

Answer:

Plastic bath vs.Glass Terrarium? would desire to i take advantage of a plastic bath for a ball pythons cage? I have been given some plans of the internet approximately turning a shower right into a cage. Or ought to i stay with the glass enclosure?
I own 15 snakes i use glass for all of mine i would never use plastic in case my snakes get sick plastic has spores that could get them sick again with glass its better to reuse if need be and easier to clean.
I've never had a snake, but I would buy a glass terrarium because: -Light gets through it easily. -You can just cover the sides with a black sheet if it gets too hot. -Glass won't scratch up and chip and bend like plastic. Of course, glass can break, but it's pretty strong if you don't put it near the edge of a table and if you don't put it where other pets can get it. Just don't put it too high or it could fall and shatter easily, and it would be a pain to take down to feed the snake. -Glass won't have the chance of getting holes where dirt, sand, water and rocks (and your snake!)can get out of. -You can observe and keep an eye on your snake easily. -If you bought a plastic container, pieces of plastic could fall off. The snake could choke on the plastic. Hope this helped!
