Question:

Plastic question.?

I wrote before that I wanted to remove everything plastic from my house. What I should have said is that I want to remove as much plastic as possible. I no longer have a TV, radio, CD/MD/Casette player. I would say I have about 5% of plastic in the house now. My computer has plastic, but overall it is made of a thin metal covering, expensive, but I'm on a mission. Also, when I shop, I bring my own bag and remove all plastic containers at the shop, which has a recycle bin for those things, so I come home with zero plastic. Wood, glass etc are eco-friendly. Plastic isn't.

Answer:

When I get plastic bags from the supermarket, I reuse them all for garbage bags and such. I know it isn't the same as cutting out plastic entirely, but it's a start!
There appears to be nothing more than a statement here about plastics in your home... What is the question?
many human beings have the flawed perception that cosmetic surgical procedure were given its call because it includes using some variety of plastic or different artifical cloth, at the same time as in reality, the time period cosmetic surgical procedure comes from the Greek note plastikos, intending to mould or to structure. through the way, the first revealed use of that note became through German medical professional Karl Ferdinand von Graefe (1787–1840), between the pioneers of cosmetic surgical procedure.
Plastic is eco-friendly if you recycle it. What about paper? Don't most people throw paper away? And most people will recycle plastic, glass and metals. Do you not have a recycle bin for your trash service? I agree with other people that is a little obsessive compulsive!
What did you read some 1970's book about plastic not rotting? Those plastic bags you won't use do degenerate. If you don't believe me leave one in the sun a week and see how much weight it holds.I live where I have to dispose of my own garbage and if you think glass is eco-friendly you are GROSSLY!! mistaken. Besides plastic and paper can be burned, unlike glass and metal...
