Question:

Play in steering on my lifted truck?

I have 1998 lifted dodge ram. Its lifted about 6-8 inches approximately. The steering wheel has a lot of play in it. If I'm turning left, I have to turn the wheel past 10 O'clock until it actually starts to make the turn. Same for when I'm going right, past a 3 O'clock till it starts the turn as well. When I'm driving straight, the steering wheel itself turns which makes the truck go left and right on the road. It was just aligned a few weeks ago and that's when I bought it but I don't know if it did that before. Any help Appreciated!!! I'm sixteen years old and trying to learn so thanks for any advise! Also, the truck has on 32 snow tires with the studs taken out right now

Answer:

Rubber couplings like the one you listed are for drain lines only where there is no pressure inside the line.
I would call local locksmith's since not all are able to do the work with either rekeying or repairing those locks which are used by the postal service. That is not work I would leave to a handyman since if it locks and the mailman can not open it, then you won't get your mail.
When threading isn't possible, then the use of rated compression fittings is usually desired. However, if your pipes are corroded, compression fittings might collapse the remaining pipe. If compression fittings do not work, then welding or complete replacement are the only other options.
