Question:

Please help me solve this problem?

I was walking down the street following someone. He was at a pole as I passed a parking meter. It took me 14 seconds to get to the pole. When I reached the pole, he was at a fire hydrant. It took me 11 seconds to get to the hydrant. If I walk 3 miles per hour, how far will I have to walk from the parking meter to the point where I pass him.

Answer:

Studded snow tires for icy roads. Works for snow too. Cables or chains for deep snow. Chains work better than cables. Cables are no help on ice. Chains are small help, if any.
Smaller surface area means less resistance therefore more conductive.
I like these answers. I've never driven in snow.
Cables break too easily and chains provide superior traction..
usually they are called limited however for snow its chains for ice nothing helps/tanks go out of control on pure ice
