I have a 2 gallon water extinguisher and a 25lb dry powder extinguisher Both are powered by co2 cartridges I have the service engineer servicing them but I want to make sure he fits the correct size/weight of cartridge to each unit Can anyone tell me what weight of cartridge should he fit to each one
there is a tank that contains the chemicals and the propellant, a discharge valve, a handle, the hose and a nozzle. most fire extinguishers also have a pressure gauge to show the state of charge. the handle that is used to open the discharge valve also has a safety pin in it to prevent accidental discharge when moving the fire extinguisher around bu the handle
Safety pins are going to rust in the washer. I would suggest removing them.
