Question:

Possible brake fluid leak?!?

What does it look like when your car is leaking brake fluid? I have a rainbowish color under my car. It looks like a gas leak, but I don‘t think it can be, because it‘s from the front of the car. My brake light is not on, and I just got my brake lines fixed about six months ago, because they broke. If it is not brake fluid, do you know what this could be. The only way to describe it, is it‘s rainbow color and it looks beaded.

Answer:

Have you tried Michaels, Treasure Island, Oriental Trading Company or the like? Call and find out who their suppliers are - might be best bet.
If your brakes are leaking there most likely will be fluid on the insides of the tire/s. That rainbow effect you describe is usually gasoline. Can you smell gas while it's running? Try popping the hood while it's running and take a whiff. Also check the fluid level in the brake fluid reservoir. If the brakes are leaking the level will be noticeably lower.
Hi, The brake system is under a ot of pressure. If there were a leak you would see it.Another thing you would feel a difference in the the brake peddle. If you are still troubled about a leak, take it back to people who replaced the lines and have them check it out for you. Good Luck.
