Question:

Problem with my locks on my 1999 ford ranger?

My 1999 ford ranger xlt has power locks, but when i hit the switch, the locks kinda move down a little, but not enough to actually lock, and they wont unlock either I also can't use the key to unlock/lock either door from the outside.. What do i need to replace, and around how much will it cost me?

Answer:

If your pipes are copper - that is oxydation. Copper turns green. The best pipes are copper. To check for leaking, wipe it down with a paper towel to look for wetness. Next - mix a little dishwashing liquid with water and wipe it on with a Q-Tip. If it starts blowing bubbles or you spy a leak - call a repairman. If not - don't worry about it. Peace hon.
Don't use the water. Chances are that both lines are contaminated. Check with your local neighborhood to see if they are effected too. I would call the local authority and find out the problem. I would buy water for now until further notice. But if you're going to use the water make sure to boil it before use.
Run the hot water until it is clear. that will probably be all the hot water in the tank.
