Question:

Pros & Cons Of A Garden Wedding.?

Ive been planning my wedding for two years now I had changed my mind from a beach wedding to a garden wedding in June it's just a better time for us to get married. But anyways, what are the pros cons of a garden wedding? Thanks, good luck to you all :)

Answer:

Pros: Cuts out the cost of flowers Beautiful for pictures Cons: It could rain Guests or parties of the wedding could be allergic to the flowers Insects could be bothersome It could get a bit hot
Pros: Less money needs to be spent on flowers There's a lot you can do as far as colors It's romantic Great pictures Cons: BUGS Your guests might get too hot Depending on if you have a tent or not, the guests might be squinting against the sun Weather is unpredictable
I am all for a garden wedding because it's prettier and less costly in my opinion. Here are what came to mind for the Pros and Cons: Pros - Less $ spent than renting a venue Easier and cheapr to cater (i.e. sandwiches vs. a sit down dinner) Cons - Mosquitos The potential for bad (rainy or hot) weather Bothering the neighbors Cleaning up afterwards Space (limited if you want to invite a lot of people)
Pros: Beautiful scenery, often don't have to spend much money on decor, great for pictures, generally feels very romantic Cons: Weather, bugs, temperature, dirt, accessibility I had an outdoor wedding and an indoor reception, and it was lovely. But I do think there are some extra preparations that you have to make. For one thing, I made sure that my venue had a plan B in case of inclement weather. Another thing I made sure to check was that the musician had experience not just with setting up outside, but also with that specific venue. I made sure to let all of my guests know that the wedding would be outdoors and to dress accordingly. And by having an indoor reception they were able to get in from the heat after the ceremony was done. I also set out ice buckets filled with bottles of water for the guests to sip on while they were waiting for the ceremony to start. Some things, like rain, you can't really plan for. But make sure to take the general weather of each season into consideration. If you want an outdoor wedding, try to choose a time of year that won't be too rainy, too hot, or too cold where you live and you'll have a better chance of pulling it off.
i am a wedding planner and over the years have done more outdoor garden weddings than anything. they are lovely romantic weddings and can be more beautiful than any other kind. june is normally a good month for an outdoor wedding since it is normally not a hot part of the summer, but the flowers are lovely and the weather is usually more stable in june than in the spring. if you are having it in a private home garden, you may wish to invest in having the area sprayed for bugs a week or so prior to the event. most public venues are regularily sprayed, but private gardens might need a little attention in that area. it also doesn't hurt to have a back up plan incase of inclement weather.
