okay i just learn about it right..why do you use pure plate to make the impure metal plate pure..why dont you just use the pure metal instead than making the impure metal plate pure..

Metals are good conductors of heat and in an environment where the ambient temperature is less than your body temperature, the metal rapidly conducts heat from your body and creates the sensation of cold.
This is an old chestnut, isn't it? The metal conducts heat away from your hand more quickly than the wood does. Wood is so poor at conducting heat that the heat from your hand soon warms the surface of the wood to your own temperature that you don't feel the cold anymore. At this point the wood feels positively warm to the touch as it is warmer than the air. Metal on the other hand can take heat from your hand and give it to the air quite efficiently.
Metal quickly conducts heat away from warm objects, and will therefore feel colder to the touch as an object made of wood, which has poor conducting capabilities.
simple. metal is a good conductor of heat while wood is a bad conductor. so when touch metal more heat is transferred from your body to metal than in the case of touching wood. hence, metal objects appear to be colder than wooden objects.
