Question:

Pursuit car alarm problem, need help to disable.?

I have a Stratus that had a Pursuit car alarm when I bought it. The dealer did not have a manual. This morning it was cold and when I tried to start it the car turn over real slow and tripped the alarm mode. Now when you turn the key nothing happens and all the lights flash. There is a horn and hood switch under the hood and a motion sensor under the dash by the module. There are also 2 on/off switches under the dash on the drivers side along the left wall. I removed the 2 fuses on the module but it did not do anything. Does anyone have any suggestions or have had similar problems?

Answer:

Daytona, it has extra history with the and the Firecracker/Pepsi/Coke 0 4 hundred and it is the international center of Racing. Plus there's a lot to do with Volusia Mall around the line and all of the attractions like the coastline being some miles away. Talladega is actual interior the middle of nowhere.
There is more to disconnecting the alarm than just removing a fuse. I'd suggest taking it to an alarm shop and have them put it back to stock.
Because you don't need to brake at Daytona, unless you try to avoid a wreck, so a better brake system is not neccesary, it can affect the weight of your car and affect overall performance.
Depending on what year and make. You need to find the starter wire for your particular vehicle . Once you find this wire you'll notice that it has been cut in half with both halves connected to your aftermarket alarm module. What you need to do is connect that starter wire back together in order to over ride the starter disable feature in your after market alarm. Your starter wire should be tapped into the module at the steering column wiring harness located directly beneath your steering column. You may have to remove the panel beneath your steering column to gain access. To remove alarm entirely, simply cut one wire at a time and tape as you go.
