no, but bench press is much more effective for gaining muscle ** IBNFE USN, push ups dont give u definition, u get that by lowering ur body fat ur working out ur chest way too much, ur muscles need time to rest in order to grow, do chest 2-3 times a week at most.
The pushups will actually give your chest definition. The bench will build bulk and pushups give you the cut look. Just remember you don't really want to work the same muscle group two days in a row. If you did your bench routine and then followed it up the same day with pushups for that final burn, twice a week you will actually build a bigger chest than working it every day.
