Do break lights work when the emergency break is on?
Did you break your lights...or do you have a question about your brake lights...
No. They only work when the brake pedal is pressed. Easily proven. Go out to your car. Set the parking brake. The brake lights will not be on. The only light that should come on is the parking brake light on the instrument pane, and then, only when the ignition is on.
